We have three options for you to consider when banking with a mobile device:

• FNB Direct Mobile Banking: By downloading the “FNB Direct” mobile banking app from the Apple App Store or Google Play marketplace, you can check account balances, review recent account activity, transfer money between FNB accounts, pay bills, manage your FNB debit card, locate an FNB branch or ATM, and securely deposit checks.
• Online Banking for Mobile Devices: With our mobile-optimized Online Banking website you can: check account balances, review recent account activity, transfer money between FNB accounts, pay bills, and locate an FNB branch or ATM.
• Text Banking: With Text Banking you can use SMS/text messaging to: check account balances, review recent account activity and locate an FNB branch or ATM.

First, you must be enrolled in Online Banking. After you enroll in Online Banking, you can use the same User ID and Password to access Mobile Banking. Our app can be found in the app stores by searching for “FNB Direct.” You can also use this link to FNB Direct on the Apple App Store or Google Play marketplace.

Yes, to use Mobile Banking you must first enroll in the Online Banking service.

FNB Mobile Banking employs industry best practices with regards to security. It has been assessed against industry security criteria by a number of independent system security experts.

At a high level, FNB Mobile Banking offers the following security safeguards:

Authentication – Customers are authenticated by User ID and Password or by utilizing advanced login features such as fingerprint login or Apple’s Face ID.

Encryption - 128-bit encryption is used for all transactions within our Online Services including Mobile Banking.

Fraud Screening – We incorporate mechanisms such as transaction validation and transaction reconciliation processes to detect fraud.

No. FNB Mobile Banking does not save any files with personal or financial information on your mobile device. That information stays strictly on our secured web servers. While we will store basic app files on your device when you download and install our Mobile Banking app, those files do not contain any personally identifiable information. If you opt to save your User ID on the device to facilitate future logins, your User ID will be saved to your device. If you turn off the ability to save your User ID (or remove the app), this information will be removed as well.

You can access any account you can view in Online Banking.

When you view your account balance, you see the current available balance. When you view transaction history, you see the most recently posted transactions.

Yes. You can use any number of mobile devices to access FNB Mobile Banking.

If your mobile phone number changes, simply update your mobile phone number under the Mobile Center tab in Online Banking.

If your mobile device is lost or stolen, no one can access your account without knowing your User ID and Password.

To stop using FNB Mobile Banking on your mobile device simply follow the instructions for your device to delete or otherwise remove the FNB Direct app.

FNB Mobile Banking works on all major mobile service carriers in the U.S.: AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile®, U.S. Cellular® and Verizon Wireless. FNB Mobile Banking also works on a number of the smaller service carriers, including, but not limited to, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Metro PCS, Pioneer Cellular, Union Wireless and Virgin Mobile USA.

FNB Mobile Banking works with most prepaid plans, but we cannot guarantee that your carrier supports standard U.S. short codes. T-Mobile prepaid does not support short codes.

When sending Text Banking requests to FNB, you should use our Text Banking short code: 91489.

Some wireless providers may have short codes disabled. Contact your wireless carrier to verify that they support short codes.

You can text the following commands to 91489 to obtain your banking information: BAL = Current Account Balances, HIST + Nickname = Transaction history, HELP = Contact Information, ATM + Zip Code = Nearby ATMs, Branch + ZIP Code = Nearby Branches, STOP = Cancel Text Banking.

No. It doesn't matter whether you type "BAL" or "bal" to obtain your balances.

Make sure you're sending text messages to the 91489. Check the keyword and any other required information, such as the account nickname or Zip Code for location information.

Text messages can't exceed 160 characters. If your account information goes over the limit, it's sent in multiple messages. We will send no more than five messages at a time.

Your mobile service carrier may be blocking short codes, or you may have blocked short codes on your device. Short codes must be enabled to use Text Message Banking. Short codes are abbreviated phone numbers, usually five digits, used to send Text Message Banking messages.
