Biography:
Oscar Saavedra serves as a Mortgage Banking Sales Manager for First National Bank. In this role, he has responsibility for originating residential mortgage loans, including conventional, construction-to-permanent, lot, Federal Housing Administration, Veterans Affairs and affordable-lending options. Based in Charlotte NC, he has the ability to lend in Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Saavedra joined First National Bank in 2023, with more than 20 years’ experience in mortgage lending – beginning his career with the Latino Community Credit Union in 2002. He has received numerous production awards and recognition throughout his career. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga in Colombia.
Saavedra volunteers his time as the Board Chair for the Latin American Coalition and Vice-Chair for the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professional’s Raleigh-Durham chapter. In the past, he has served as a board member for Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte and the Charlotte Bilingual Preschool.
