Biography:
Matt Hickling serves as a Mortgage Banking Specialist for First National Bank. In this role, he is responsible for delivering tailored mortgage solutions to clients—helping them achieve their homeownership goals. He specializes in agency, physician and construction-to-permanent loans.
Hickling joined First National Bank in 2025, with more than 13 years’ experience in mortgage lending. Throughout his career, Hickling’s expertise in the homebuying process and commitment to exceptional service have earned him the trust of clients and industry partners, alike.
A graduate of Appalachian State University, Hickling holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance and Banking. Outside the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and working on his golf game.
